not known if it was taken near Mr. Burns nuclear power plant, home of the three-eyed trout...

“It was definitely a freak of nature,” Lisko said. “I guess it’s a real rarity.”

Lisko had slowed down as a buck and two does ran across the driveway.

“All of a sudden we felt the truck stop,” he said.

The small buck had run underneath his truck, Lisko said. When he got out to look at the deer he noticed three- to four-inch appendages growing from the rear legs and later found a smaller appendage growing from one of the front legs.

“It’s a pretty weird deer. It kind of gives you the creeps when you look at it,” said Lisko, who described the extra legs as looking like “crab pinchers.”

1. ... or, Lisko was totally drink off his ass and ran down a buck AND a doe,
then called his buddies to help him set up the bigfoot-type story for a share of the meat and some cash from the Enquirer. :D

2. I saw that report earlier today and...
instantly thought of the increase in deformed frogs due to pollution.

This deer is probably a fluke, but if anymore are found it might be something to study.

3. A wildlife biologist in Wisconsin told me about ten years ago the deformation rate is rising
He said he had seen a steady increase in the number of deformed stillborn fawns since the 1960's, and suggested that a combination of pollution and overhunting (taking out big, healthy individuals) was to blame.
