Am I the only one who picked up on the fact that Bush said the insurgents now need to only be "marginalized?"

What happened to all the bravado about defeating terrorism?

Bush's latest statement, "First, we're helping Iraqis build an inclusive government, so that old resentments will be eased and the insurgency will be marginalized." -- http://www.whitehouse.gov/stateoftheunion/2006/

This makes perfect sense on the surface, but how does a war on terror (paid for with blood, treasure, and limbs) break down to this? Americans are giving their lives and limbs to "marginalize" terrorism in Iraq?

2. They want to slowly reverse the illusion they purposely created

that the Iraqis fighting for revenge for their lost friends and relatives (including the ones from GWI) and for the sovereignty of their country, AND for the fact that they were ILLEGALLY invaded against, International Law be damned, and start to hint at the truth. It's hard for them to do, but at this point, realizing that the whole frigging world knows/knew this, as well as better than half of the gd country, they may figger it's time to come clean as if it were possible for such a bunch of criminals.
