at all whatsoever.
The implication is that unless you have 60 votes you don't control shit. That's real BS and committee chairmanships and agendas are controlled by the 51 seat majority.
They're planning the takeover and to assuage the Dems, they're saying that they really need 60 seats.
Pardon me, but Fuck Them.

Soooo, THEY won't be "obstructionist" when they hold up legislation lacking the super-majority. Why didn't WE think of that?
I was just watching that Ron Christie jag-off making that point on MSNBC.......boy would I like to smack that guy upside his head till his eyes un-crossed.

It takes 60 votes to stop a filibuster. any senator can filibuster.
That is what was used to stop some of the judges that the President nominated.
