Statement by Bill Frist on Tim Johnson

I know that everyone would like me to speculate about the condition of Sen. Johnson; however, until I am able to see some video of him lying in his hospital bed, I cannot perform a correct diagnosis. My instincts as a doctor tell me that Gov. Rounds should start preparing a short list of possible replacement candidates.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Johnson family.

By the way, many wonderful people have been asking me what I plan to do now that I have retired from politics.
