From The Green Zone Bunker McCain Says "Iraq is Improving"
I just heard that quote from him on CNN. Johnny boy also wants and "injection" of US troops in Baghdad which is still "violent". I tell you the man has totally lost it.

:puke:

US Senator John McCain addresses a press conference in Baghdad. McCain strongly advocated sending more troops to Iraq to control the sectarian violence and also recommended a crackdown on the Mehdi army of Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr. McCain is one of six senators currently on a visit to Iraq to meet Iraqi leaders and US military commanders to assess the situation in the war-torn country.(AFP/Sabah Arar)

1. john just keeps getting older and older...
and looking it too.

by 2008, i don't think that he's going to have the presidential appearance needed to win a national election in this day and age.

2. That has to be it, what other explanation can there be?
for the fact that he is coming to a totally different conclusion than virtually anybody who's been in there in the last 6 months?

5. Now why would things be improving? What has been done recently
to bring about this change?
They heard McCain was visiting and the Sunni and Sh ia were told to be on their best behavior?

7. What a tool.
I hope people will finally wise up and stop treating this man as if he has any more integrity than Bush or DeLay.

11. When are our troops going to realize
that the only way they're going to get home is to commandeer the vehicles of one of these "special visitors" and tell them. Send more planes because if you're leaving, we're leaving.

12. that's why he wants to send even more soldiers there
because it's improving, but . . .

Mr McCain, a 2008 presidential hopeful, said he agreed with a recent US Iraq Study Group report that the situation in Iraq was serious.

"The situation is very, very serious," said Mr McCain in Baghdad, where a high-level Congressional delegation has been holding talks with US commanders and Iraqi officials.

"It requires an injection of additional troops to control the situation and to allow the political process to proceed," he said.

13. Seriously, I think he dressed the part -
of the old coot who doesn't quite get it.

I heard some quotes from him on the radio this morning, and - honestly - I thought he sounded as deluded as Bush does.

This photo's a beauty too. And what company he keeps.

Honestly, McCain looks like he's waiting for his per diem from the tour director so he can go out and get his hamburger from Wendy's.

Who knew Lieberman was into leather? (It does explain a lot. Joe, honey, neither the leather clothes or the macho tough-guy, 'let's get other people's kids killed' rhetoric is going to make you a 'macho, macho man.' Not happening honey.)

14. Can't be fixed with the military, asshole.
Why can't he and others understand that what's going on in that country cannot be dealt with by the military? Are that that stupid?
