so we are spending $2billion a week in Iraq....

so we are spending $2billion a week in Iraq....
And it costs $50million to run in the primaries for President...
x 5 candidates on each side = $500 million or $0.5billion


And it costs $15million to run for Senate...
30 seats per election x 3 people running (incumbent + 2 challengers on average) = $1.350billion

= $1.85billion

Plus $75million each candidate in the Pres Gen election = $150 million

= $2 billion

So how can we NOT afford public financing of elections???
