Yeah, I'm talking about Sen. Tim Johnson and I know that sounds paranoid. Nonetheless, small plane crashes, and other misfortunes always seem to happen to Dems from states with Republican governors.

And going back a few decades, how come the only successful assassinations (JFK, MLK, and Bobby Kennedy) always seem to happen to Democrats?

Maybe I've gone off the deep end and become a rabid conspiracy theorist. Or maybe I've just been off my meds too long. But I can't help but wonder.

3. Why did John Hienz (R-PA) die in a plane crash in '91 and was
replaced by a Democrat appointed by a Democratic governor? And why were all of these Republican presidents assassinated? Lincoln, Garfield, McKinley???

4. The Republicans your speaking of would be today's Dems.

The parties basically switched identities after Lyndon Johnson signed the civil rights and voting rights acts.

But as I said, maybe I've just been off my meds too long.

6. furthermore Reagan's bullet was only inches from being fatal
as it is he came close to dying in that '81 assassination attempt. And why did Republican Senators John Chafee and Paul Coverdell die in office?

5. You could have also included Cloverdale (R) of Georgia
He died in office and was replaced by zell miller.

It wasn't a change in philosophy, but it was still a change in Party.
