My Christmas message to bush (feel free to add your own)
Dear Mr. Bush,

Today was one of the happiest days in years for me. I don't credit you of course, in fact I would say it was despite you and the events which have occurred since you came into office.

I spent most of my day with my wife and daughter. I watched my daughter ride her bike, I took a walk with her and her baby doll, we played with a hula hoop, and she found a croquet ball which we rolled about. My wife made a wonderful dinner as she so often does. We made popcorn and watched Christmas cartoons for hours.

By the grace of God and friends I have never met, as well as hard work over the years, I have food on the table, a place to call home, and something I so long lacked - hope.

But sir, there are so many without even this.

And while the causes are many one thing does radiate out with an obvious light, casting a long shadow across this land. Your poor leadership.

I am but one small man. A virtual nobody with little power to accomplish things, though I could try harder and hence do more. Such a thing I admit to - broken over the years and weak, I have not lived up to my own potential to aid others. I won't excuse myself that failing.

But you sir, are the leader of the US. You have power many can only dream of wielding.

And what have you done with it? How have you led this nation?

War. Death. Cutting funds to help people. I will leave it at that to keep this short, but I could go on for pages.

Six years in such a powerful position. Six years to lead and make the lives of the people of this country better. Six years to bring reform and health care to all.

And you have squandered it. And for what?

You have not led. You will not lead. You will simply sit in your white palace and play war games with the lives of real men and women, leaving broken families in your wake.

You care nothing for me or my fellow citizens, though you will play pretend and tell us how you are saving us from death at the hands of islamic terrorists.

All the while more have died of hunger and poor health care then any terrorist attack here. It is all an afterthought to you it seems.

Thrown em a bone with a pretty speech, then forget they exist as you sit in a war room looking perplexed as to why the people we invaded are not erecting statues of you to show their gratitude.

I am ASHAMED of my actions of selfishness in my life, and for not doing more - but you don't even appear to care about your lack of desire to help others. The very populace of this country that gave you the chance to lead you have turned your back on - not that you ever were facing them anyway.

This Christmas take a night to think about all those here in your own country and how they looked for leadership and help - and ask yourself if you have truly done anything to help them.

You probably think it was a shame that Jesus had to be born in a manger, yet here in our country you don't lift a finger to help children.

You are not fit to lead. You sir, are no real American. You are a selfish spoiled brat.

I can't wait till '08.

1. Excellent writing, Straight Story
I'm afraid, though, that Bush is incapable of absorbing your message. He doesn't want to even try. I hope you and AutumnMist are both doing well. :hi: :hi: :hi:

11. Though, it pains me to admit it... I miss the old slogan this image depicts...

perhaps someone told the boy that this phrase shows resolve.
According to a wise ruler long ago, refusing to alter course
and listen to wisdom, shows an individual is foolish.

7. The man is a sociopath.....
Edited on Fri Dec-15-06 12:46 AM by bobbiejo
He has no conscience, and cannot possibly process your message. He's just not capable. If you watch and listen to him speak...I mean really watch, you'll catch it. If he were to read your letter, he sees words...and only words. You could have written this backward, and it wouldn't have made any difference. This is why appears to make such ridiculous statements (when he's not scripted)...such as:

"...to put food on their families."...ect,x100

....while it may appear as though he has simply misspoken, the truth is he can't speak with empathy in a way that makes sense, because it CANNOT internalize it. It's like reading Greek...while you may be able to pronounce the words, you have no idea what you just read. While some anti-socials are quite proficient, Bush is not. This is why he falls back on the the same lines over and over again...and uses them completely out of context.

Watch him....see if you see what I am seeing. The man is sick and dangerous.

10. Dear President Bush
Unlike many of my compatriots, I do not believe you to be an evil man. I think you are big, dumb, frat-boy, but I do not think evil actually sums it up. Now your pal Cheney, he is evil; but you, well you are too dumb to be evil. I think you honestly believe a lot of the stuff you say and I think in many ways you do actually think you are fighting for the cause of good. Unfortunately, you are not. If you could do me one favor, just pull out of Iraq. Repealing all the crazy anti-terrorism laws would be nice too. I know you think they help, but they don't. They ensure the terrorists win. By taking away our liberty, by filling the hearts of the citizenry with fear, you have taken away our most basic freedoms.

In closing Mr. President, I do wish you a Merry Christmas and I hope that you have an Ebeneezer Scrooge like moment of Christmas morning clarity and see all the evil you have wrought and I hope that God smiles upon you and shows you the errors you have committed and that you will work to make amends for them.
