Greetings! Radio_Lady asked me to post this.
I was in touch with her earlier (late afternoon, pacific time, Thursday) and she said she was rendered somewhat incommunicado because of a horrific storm (Holy COW - 90 mile-an-hour winds!!!) and power's out. She says she expects to be hunkered down tomorrow. She had a radio show to do live, but the commute to it in the morning was not possible, so the station planned to rerun an earlier show. She's okay, fortunately. Point is - she said there were some DUers who were waiting to hear from her and that they shouldn't be concerned by this involuntary silent treatment. She didn't want to leave you hanging.

Cheers! Good vibes to you all. Keep a good thought for Senator Johnson!

11. She seemed to be reasonably matter-of-fact about it.
If there were any serious concern, I think she would have said something. It did sound like a rawther rough ride.

I love her radio show. I wasn't aware of the difficulties as I don't post here often, (although I read regularly), but I appreciate the news.

(edit: fixing typo "her" in the second sentence was supposed to be "here")

She'll be glad people are seeing this. I was hoping it wasn't too late in the evening.

17. Cheers! Not a good morning to be out traveling. We had talked earlier
and she'd remarked that she might have to be putting things off, and that she was going to have to get word to quite a few people. That was about midday. Then she called back late in the afternoon to say her weather suspicions had been confirmed. Yeah, lots of wind and lots of rain.

19. Hello everyone. Update from Radio Lady --
We did not have any damage to our home or property. One small photinia bush was uprooted, but gardener/husband replanted it the next day.

Others around here were not so lucky. My hairdresser, who lives in the rural area out west, towards Hagg Lake, had eight trees come down on her property. Her electricity has been out since the storm on Thursday. The first night, she went to a hotel, and then she has been staying with friends.

Our electricity was out from 5:15 PM until just after 10 PM on Thursday night. One of the big intersections near our home, SW Teal Boulevard at SW Scholls Ferry Road, had significant damage and was still closed tonight.

Suffice it to say that we weathered the storm. Thanks for all your kindnesses and concerns, everybody. Calimary, who was supposed to be my radio guest on Friday, has kindly agreed to do my show on Friday, January 5th. It will be heard on Monday, January 8th if all goes well.

I will be responding to others who PMed me and asked if they could be guests on my show.

Thanks again,

Radio Lady Ellen in Oregon
