9. Where's the list of dictators and despots?????
What 'WE' are experiencing NOW has NEVER occurred in this nation since it was founded. Comparing HIM to other 'Presidents' has no relevance.

14. There are surprising similarities between Bush and Nixon.
Even some of the players are the same: Rumsfeld and Cheney both got their start in the Nixon White House. Chuck Colson has been recycled under Bush. Both presidents tried to create an imperial presidency. Both despised civil liberty and disdain the Constitution. Both tried to play an "everyman" set against the "elitist establishment." There are some important differences, too. Nixon inherited his war. Bush chose his. Nixon clearly is the more intelligent of the two.

I know the younger folks won't believe it, but I think the atmosphere was more oppressive under Nixon than Bush. Part of that, undoubtedly, was the greater violence of the Vietnam War and the open racism that was more prevalent at the time.

21. Bush is to Presidents like OJ Simpson is to husbands
It's quite possible Bush is the end of real US Presidents as we morph into a failing empire.

23. Herbert Hoover.
With Hoover's lack of compassion and refusal to have the govt. intervene, his 1st Great Depression hit Americans really hard. Bush has destroyed this country's economy, making it next to impossible to get a job. We have the same soup lines, same mob scenes of people desperate for work as in the 1st Great Depression of the 1930s.
