Wisconsin: Local Men Petitioning To IMPEACH Bush
Posted December 14, 2006

Local men petitioning to impeach Bush

"I feel it's so important," he said. "The Constitution has been broken. I believe (Bush) has done things that are unconstitutional."

By Jeni Lewis
Marshfield News-Herald

Robert Hoch of Arpin will be out and about in Marshfield this weekend in the hopes of getting signatures to add a referendum question to the April 2007 ballot.

He is working with David Stanley, of the town of Marshfield, to try and send a message to Wisconsin's U.S. Representatives to take action to impeach President George W. Bush, and they are using the petition to create that message.

If they get about 1,200 signatures from Marshfield residents within 60 days of Saturday, the petition goes to the Common Council, who will put the question on the ballot for city residents.

Hoch already petitioned the cities of Wisconsin Rapids and Pittsville, and had the impeachment question on the ballot for the November election. In Pittsville, 32 percent of the residents voted in favor of impeachment investigations. The number was 38 percent in Wisconsin Rapids, Hoch said.

2. Is this a blue or reddish area of Wisconsin?
A lot of rural areas are conservative. If they are able to get the petition signed up there, Bush is in deep doo doo.

5. It's red. Not in an informed way but in a football fan sort of way. I consider those
numbers impressive.

4. Rural Wisconsin is full of old hippies
I'm surprised he hasn't done Viroqua yet. He'd have no problem up in that area.
