Federal judge rules lethal injection 'unconstitutional'

Judge halts lethal injections in California
POSTED: 5:04 p.m. EST, December 15, 2006

SAN FRANCISCO, California (AP) -- A federal judge who imposed a moratorium on executions in California on Friday declared the state's method of lethal injection unconstitutional.

U.S. District Judge Jeremy Fogel ruled in San Jose that California's "implementation of lethal injection is broken." But, he said, "it can be fixed."

1. why not quote the original source
which is the Associated Press instead of someone who rewrote an AP article?

4. Probably 90% of all DU articles are posted like this. It's can be....
...difficult to track down the raw AP flash/story and it can require quite a bit of digging.

To echo the poster above: "Eh?"

5. Cold, callous, premeditated state murder "can be fixed"? I don't think so.
Might as well hang 'em on TV and let all watch their necks breaking and their eyes popping out and their tongues hanging and their bodies twitching, as the life goes out of them. Lesson to us all that, at the word of George Bush, this could be you.

7. There's a link in your story, kpete, saying "full story" for those who want the longer version.
Damned easy to click, doesn't require back-breaking effort. Here's the link it gives you:

http://www.cnn.com/2006/LAW/12/15/diaz.execution.ap/index.html

Thanks for posting this story. I wouldn't have known about it until much later if you hadn't!
