Hummmm... "create your own postage stamps"....this could be fun!!!
Edited on Fri Dec-15-06 07:14 PM by MazeRat7
So I've been hearing this commercial on AAR and figured I would visit the web site

Seems to me there are some real possibilities here...

I would have really loved to have mailed my holiday cards with a "personalized" message specifically from me.

You know stuff like, "Impeach Bush", "Bush is a punk-ass chump", or maybe one of the many unique and entertaining photo-renderings we see here on DU.

Anyway, I think you get the idea. So if you are one of those folks that still actually use postal mail, you might consider this as a sort of postal-blog for everyone that touches your letter to see.

Have fun with it...

MZr7

Note: I am not associated with that web site in any manner, this was just an "idea" I wanted to share.

5. That thought also ocurred to me (as it must have to everyone else here on DU.)
But if you read the fine print, you'll see that most of the ideas that might have crossed your mind (heh heh!) are specifically prohibited.

But, with a little imagination, some very effective messages are still possible. I have a block of such stamps that I ordered from a site I found on DU. It's the "peace symbol", with a yellow ribbon affixed. Quite eye-catching!

7. Didn't some clever evilDUer do a stamp when this first started
M (pic of a peach) W

Seem to recall that. Perhaps the USPS caught hell and had to tighten the rules?

10. I had stamps made with my dog on them through
Little Lotus Hearts, a Buddhist center at littlelotushearts.com. I emailed them a digital photo and they sent them to me. A little expensive for any old thing, but great on my holiday cards.
