1. It can be done better and we have proof it is being done better
It was a great response that made points without appearing partisan. We can do better - If American believes that we win! Its a simple message. We can do better. Service and results matter. This is the proof that we are more competent. Look at the states led by Dems starting with VA.

2. i witnessed first hand
that the first option is true.

while my grandmother has been a life-long democrat, she is still from the DINO age and disagrees sometimes with the party over certain issues and she really liked kaines response and i think it gave her real hope for our party.
so i must say, it helped gain moderates.

5. You were right
It's really just the one eyebrow that's so distracting.

I tried to google for transcipts this morning
'cause I'm not really sure what he said.

All I could find was a FAUX link with transcripts.
I must need some secret google terms to find it elsewhere. (read, anywhere else)

I used: Democratic, response, Tim, Kaine
Go figure?

6. My sentiments sit with the first option.
I wouldn't want someone like Kaine, a good guy who's up and coming to start getting too radical which could sour his rep. a bit. Let the real radicals like Cindy Sheehan, Hugo Chavez, and Ted Kennedy give * the fire & brimstone he deserves.

9. anticlimactic for us but nonscary to those looking for an alternative to *
It wasn't perfect--a mention of the Republican corruption scandal might have been nice--but I thought he did a good job of presenting a viewer-friendly viewpoint. I suspect that many of the folks who are drifting away from Bush are doing so because they're tired of the Rovian politics and nonstop partisanship, so his calm demeanor made us look like the grownups.

11. Kind of my feeling, too
anti-climatic but probably played very well in the Red States which is important. As much as I would have liked to see someone really go off at Bush what Kaine did was fine. He didn't turn people off and while I was underwhelmed, I live in a very Blue area of a Blue State and it takes a lot to impress me these days.
