Barney White House Dog Video on DU. Performer Union Violations

Go see the Barney the White House Dog Christmas Video in the "Latest Video" section of DU. It is an edited version from the Daliy show.

I am not sure of Barney's union affiliation, However.

Don't take me too seriously on this but,I believe Tony Snow must atleast be a member of the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. That is the National Union for television and radio performers. He may also be a member of the Screen Actors Guild.

I doubt if the Bushes are members of or supporters of any unions but if any producer or performer of this video has union affiliation there may be some violations of union rules and state or federal laws. The Bushes should have been given a Taft-Hartley release.

At the least there should have been a person on the set to make sure the animals used in the video were not harmed or misused in any way.

Anyway the Republicans like to bust balls over everything so why not return the favor. Plus the original uncut video looks to be so bad the whole world needs to see it.

Bear in mind I am a dog person. I may be a bit jealous because my dog Gizmo could have played the part of Barney better.

Just so you know NYCGirl I was the Phila. Area Liaison for Actors' Equity Assoc. in a few years back in the 90's. My wife and both of my kids are AEA and SAG. I kind of wrote this tongue in cheek. I mostly want everyone to go see the hilarious video and hope we can get a copy of the original uncut version. It looks to be so bad!!!!

P.S. I actually do have an agent for my dog.
