John McCain’s War On Blogs
---

So it's come down to this for McCain?

The BushCo can slander his family visciously and yet he still gives them hugs.

Create a blog on the internet and he wants to write a law.
What a desperate and pathetic man he has become.

John McCain’s War On Blogs

McCainJohn McCain has made clear that he doesn’t like the blogosphere.

~SNIP~

Kevin Bankston of the Electronic Frontier Foundation notes that this proposal may be based more “on fear or political considerations rather than on the facts.” When he introduced his legislation to the Senate, McCain offered no evidence that children are being victimized by people who post comments on blogs.

McCain’s legislation could deal a serious blow to the blogosphere. Lacking resources to police their sites, many individual blogs may have to shut down open discussion.

4. McCain is a bastard! He is NO "MAVERICK"!
He is though, a typical conservative. Seeing that he want to squelch dissent under the guise of "protecting the children" is very telling of just how low he will go.

5. In political terms, McCain simply doesn't exist as far as I'm concerned.
He's so peripheral that even the desire of the MSM to breathe political life into him doesn't further debase his stature to any noticeable degree. He's already a meaningless cypher.
