John McCain
John McCain has already lost the 2008 presidential election. I doubt if he makes it out of a primary, but he's lost the General Election anyway. John McCain is not the maverick reformer of 2000 anymore. He's not the spontaneous, common sense, independent that he once built himself up as. John McCain lacking backbone, character, balls, and brains has become just another say anything, do nothing politician that is more interested in getting elected than doing the right thing.

Evidence #1

That speaks for itself. Pathetic

Evidence #2
He refused to denounce Bush after the 2000 primary even though Bush directly and indirectly:
Played the race card by saying McCain fathered a black baby.
Said that McCain's wife is a drug addict.
Questioned his service in Vietnam
Claimed that McCain was a traitor for talking to the VC.

Evidence #3
"McCain's war on blogs."
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=364x2929590

This is another example of McCain trying to control his environment. He knows his support is weak in the conservative blogosphere and he will get eviscerated by the popular blogosphere in a GE. So what does he do? He attacks the blogs. He could start a regular blog. He could reach out to bloggers and do interviews. Instead he tries to silence them.

Evidence #4

Just watch him. He's jumped the shark with his position on the war. He wants more troops. The professional pundits all say this is a smart position because McCain will say that no one tried his method. WRONG, Bush is actually dumb enough to try it. Bush will ignore ISG and Iraq will be a disaster. McCain will have ignored popular will and the recommendations of experts and he will lose.

McCain is just wrong. He's wrong for the Republicans. He's wrong for America. He's scripted himself into irrelevancy. Too bad for him.

...John McCain's letter about global warming. I just got it yesterday and I am more than pissed-off. Mostly because of your Evidence #1.

You're right - he already lost.

10. He's sponsoring the ...wait for it....

...McCain-Liberman Climate Stewardship and Innovation Act and wants us to contact our Senators to support it. He says it was introduced in 2003, which is why I'm so annoyed. He knew before the 2004 election that Inhofe thought global warming was a hoax...he knew the current administration wanted to burn as much fossil fuel as it could get away with and he still...STILL...campaigned for that dope!

Now he wants to look like the "green" candidate.

I can only imagine he got my address because I give monthly to a local environmental project in my state (NJ).

My husband is already in the, "he's gonna hear about this" mode and I'm sure a letter will be going out to the Senator from Arizona within the next couple of days letting him know how we feel about his "dedication" to this issue.

21. Bush's commanders on the ground just said they DON'T want more troops!!
So bush is going to cop to; "I'll take John McCain's advice" -- perfect1 put his on McCain and when it doesn't work Cheney feigns heart issues bows out and Bush annoints Rice as the VP. while Mccain commits suicide!!

3. To me, the photo you posted says it all.
It's nauseating to look at, but look at it we must and share it with anyone who still believes that McCain is somehow the "maverick" Senator from Arizona. Couple with this, the photos of McCain and Bush sharing birthday cake while New Orleans was drowning, and you've got yourself some pretty damning visual evidence of the depths McCain has sunk to.

9. I can never see that picture
without it bringing to mind the "Third Rock" episode where the dog is persistent in humping Jane Curtin's leg.

4. I want to puke every time I see that picture
after all the shit * said about him and his family in 2000, he is one spineless sumbitch. Embracing that asshole with a tear running down his little chipmunk cheek. If he had a hair on his ass he'd deck the mofo.

5. The torture president and the tortured senator...they DO have a lot in common.
McCain lost his mind in captivity. Sad, the only job he could secure was being a U.S. Senator.

6. I don't like McCain,
In fact, I detest him and he makes me sick. I have to mute the tv every time the commercial comes on where he is urging people to do something for the family of the troops. Not that I have anything against the cause, just his voice and him. With that said, I have to ask if you are sure that photo is authentic, because it looks a little weird to me. Something about the position of the hands and the way the two men are positioned. It just doesn't look right to me.

14. Evidence #2 is all I needed to make up my mind - as a mom, a wife,
AND an adopted daughter. MY dad would NEVER have let an attack on me stand unchallenged. As a matter of fact, I have come under attack, and he went after 'em screaming at the top of his lungs, bullying and intimidating the hell out of 'em, with knives, forks, and every lawyer at his disposal.

That john mccain let those attacks stand unchallenged, did NOTHING to defend the honor of his wife and daughter, OR of his marriage, and then went around hugging the guy for whose benefit his wife and child were attacked - WHAT A DISGRACE!!! I once admired him, myself. But what happened during the South Carolina primary told me all I needed to know.

Besides, the fact that he's yammering about more troops to be sent into the meat grinder tells me he's as out of touch as bush is. If you're gonna add troops, you have to add an overwhelming number, like maybe hundreds of thousands. Like the generals recommended before this whole botch-job began. You have to absolutely overwhelm the opponents. We didn't then, and there's no hope now. Twenty or thirty thousand additional troops will mean little more than 20 or 30 thousand more coffins will be needed. It won't do any good. It's long past that.

I think the pro-war people are SO yesterday. They'll REALLY be that way by 2008.

16. I am tired of being told that mcCain
is some kind of hero. Damn! What he did was in my honest opinion,"self preservation". McCain did not risk his life. Hell, he saved his life? A hero NO! I and no one here is accusing Mr. McCain of not having a survival instinct, but to call him a "hero", NO!
Since he was this so called "straight shooter" in 2000, he has now a total of 11 flip flops, and if I were making tv spots I would bust his old ass with them all, and put his tired old ass on the defensive....

McCain's going to need all of the help he can get. I swear he's not getting one iota of support from this girl.
