Fox most "anti-religious" network
Thanks to the godless triple threat of Family Guy, The Simpsons and House, Fox has unseated NBC as the "most anti-religious network" in America according to the Parent's Television Council. Way to go, Fox. UPN came in second with ABC picking up the bronze. This announcement came along with the Council's release of Faith in a Box 2005-2006, an annual report on how religion is portrayed in primetime.

You've got to hand it to Fox. They are making money coming and going. ;)

2. Shit, Dr. House is the best character on TV
since Archie Bunker. AND the show pisses off the fundies. Very cool! :)

4. I think the Simpsons is actually very religious...
religious themes are addressed in many episodes, even if it's just a dissing of Flanders by Homer. Remember when Bart sold his soul to Milhous? The kid was in agony over it. Maybe the reason the PTC's panties are in a wad is that the lockstep, fundie brand of Christianity is skewered. But faith itself is respected. I think Marge is the spiritual center of the show.

5. Maybe not religious
But The Simpsons certainly is a morality play for our times.

Homer's karma always bites him in the end.
