I had never heard of or thought of this concept until I just read about it a few minutes ago on Wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_vitro_meat

Would any "ethical vegetarians" as that article calls them feel considerably different about eating such lab grown meat?

What about the ethics of consuming artificial human meat?

This is just such a strange subject.

1. I certainly can't speak for vegetarians on this subject
but the advent of this certainly didn't come as any surprise to me. I've seen it coming for at least twenty years, probably longer.

I have to seriously wonder why anyone would WANT to eat artificial human meat, but primarily because I know that some will just out of a sense of the perverse.

People are weird.

2. I'm a veg, and this makes me wanna gag. Factoriy farms are why I gave up meat, but I don't
miss or crave it. And just because something was never part of a living chicken or cow, doesn't mean it's any more appealing to me. Even when I was a meateater, I wouldn't have touched this in vitrostuff. Ewwww. There's something extremely creepy about the whole concept.

3. I never liked the taste of meat
so this wouldn't appeal to me. Anyway 'food' that has been fiddled around with could do God only knows what kind of damage to you. :puke:
