When Moon dies, what will happen to his cult? |
|
Do you think it will fall apart because it is built around his own belief in his godhood? Does he have influence in the S. Korean government? And now that the new UN Secretary General is Korean, will he have influence there as well?
These questions came to mind as I listen to the new Sec. General speaking on CSPAN now. I must admit that Korea is not a country I know a whole lot about, and Moonie activies just give me a headache when I read about him.

2. I live in Korea and I have found that he is |

marginalized in this country to the point of being irrelevant in any social or political circle. Like the US, he has his rabid followers. The new Secretary General is not a member of Moon's cult.
My wife, who is Korean, says he's a non-factor in the political, religious or social sphere of society.
In fact, as far as I can tell, he has a hell of a lot more influence in the United States than he does in Korea.
I will check with people at work tomorrow and see if anyone has a differing opinion.

4. Thanks. I appreciate you willingness to find out more for me. |

Moon seriously creeps me out and his association with the Bush clan creeps me out even more. I've never understood the appeal of people like him for some.

are run by former members of Moon's 'church'. In 1996, he dissolved the 'church' and told his followers to infiltrate the mainstream churches to spread his message.
My biggest concern is all the land they own in the US. Is it all tax exempt and who is the official owner?
