That man could not only be, to the right-wingers, a symbol of "core family values", but also hypnotize them into believing the "his vision for the future" is correct and as compelling as Ronnie's "Morning in America".
He could very easily become a "Buzz Windrip" ("It Can't Happen Here")

He's a nutcase. The nasty little piece of work has been hinting that Senators who travel to countries like Syria and meet with reps of their governments should be prosecuted under the Logan Act.
