Geez: I think Mark Foley became a Congressman just to be close to the Interns and Pages
From day one in Congress, this guy was a predator of the highest degree...and from day one, they knew it.

From first days in D.C., Foley raised eyebrows

WASHINGTON — From the beginning of his time in Congress, Mark Foley was known as an overly friendly guy.

"Those of you who have met him probably know he was overly friendly with everyone," Kirk Fordham, Foley's former chief of staff, told the House ethics committee in October, two weeks after the Republican congressman from Fort Pierce resigned in disgrace over sexually explicit electronic communications with former House pages.

But a deeper examination of the report reveals another startling truth: Concerns about Foley and young people existed almost from the time he took office in 1995. It paints a vivid picture of congressional staff members repeatedly warning Foley for more than a decade about displaying excessive interest in young male pages, interns and staffers, but not raising their concerns with House leaders.

The report also indicates that Foley went through cycles in which he would back away from the pages and interns for a while and then resume his attentions.
