I don't think I'll ever watch the Today Show again.
It has progressively gotten worse over the years.

It's to the point now where Katie Coric, Matt Lauer, and Tim Russert are all like Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity, and Bill O'Reilly altogether on the same show. I'd even go so far as to say that the Today Show is to the right of Fox News.

Who else wants to join me in boycotting these neo-con media whores?

1. NEVER watch them
I stopped years ago. Can't stand it. I used to watch years ago because it was news. Now it is just either silly or stupid, revolting stuff.

6. My thoughts exactly...
Can't stand them and can't understand how anyone could tolerate, much less actually like(?)(is that possible?) watching those opinionated, facile, no-talent hacks. It seems to me, there very much is a segment of America that really does deserve what they're getting and going to get--if only the rest of us weren't forced to endure the results of their stupidity with them.

Neither Katie nor Matt can fill his shoes. Although he didn't wear shoes. And he worked for bananas!

i havent watched in a couple years now.
they were good about 10-12 years ago, i dunno what happened.

my take is that alot of mainstream media just supports whoevers in control of the country, regardless of party.
they dont wanna loose priviledges n what not, since they are infact a corporation.

13. I stopped 5 years ago
not too long after Katie "I am just a pretty face" Couric questioned the need to cook hamburgers all the way through. She acted like she'd never heard of E-coli before, even though it had been discussed at length on her show and every other for several years already.

It was even the political nonsense for me, it was the profound lack of sense, education, and intelligence.

Go ahead and stop watching. You'll be glad you did, and your mornings will be much nicer. :-)

27. What's worse is that her sister was the head of the Va. Dem party
she was diagnosed with cancer and died shortly there after.

The right is SURE that Katie is a liberal and we see her clearly right slanted questions.

Oh well. Look up her sister. They look remarkably alike.

28. You Know, I Dont This She Is...She's Posturing For Career Leverage
To me, she knows what it will take to get that CBS Evening News job and it's Bush-Friendliness...I don't believe she thinks Bush is right about anything but she's putting her own political convictions aside to earn more $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ as an anchor.

God I miss Dan Rather, who had some damn integrity...

25. I Will Continue Watching...For The Time Being...
Because this is the most watched morning show and it's how a lot of people have their opinions formed so I want to know what they are saying...I have pretty much given up Hardball because of Matthew's shameless Bush Pandering.

That said, I was thoroughly disgusted with Katie's confrontational interview with John Kerry this morning. She took a rude stance from the beginning and constantly interrupted everything he said.

I was terribly disappointed in her bald-face ignorance of the Abramoff bribery scandal and her argumentative and stupid line of questioning with Dean.

In fairness, she had been sick, but there's no excuse for such stupidity.

Unless she changes her ways, I would really question making her the CBS Evening News Anchor, but Bob Shieffer is also showing himself to be a pure-dee Bush shill as evidenced by his soft-balling of Bush over the weekend interview. John Stewart smashed his ass beautifully for that.

something else. I haven't watched the Today show in ages, and have only made an exception because I would like to see the Sheehan interview. (I'm glad I caught Kerry's SOTU response though, which was excellent.)

Please let me know about Cindy Sheehan. Thanks.

30. I quit those shows ages ago.. when they started getting too "folksy"
The whole switch was to be more "Mom-friendly", which struck me as totally condescending..like Moms couldn't understand news, or bear to watch anything that was not seeded with recipes and movie start gossip.

I also abhor the phony banter between the hosts. I am glad they get along and all, but surely they could socialize off camera. It's supposed to make us all feel like we are there with them, sharing their camaraderie, but it's just cheap voyeurism..

Like Katie Couric (or any of them) would give a commoner the time of day..without the camera rolling....or that most commoners would even WANT them to.. Most people's lives are busy.. they want certain things from their news.. They want to know what happened, where it happened, when it happened..they want to know if it's gonna rain on their traffic to work or on the kids on their way home from school..

It aggravates me to no end that there is SO much TV time available to really enlighten people, and they choose to waste it on drivel..

36. Never watch them... except around the half hour when it breaks
for local stations. Their local affiliate is the best for traffic and weather..

Couric was cute when she was thirty something, but there is nothing charming about a fifty year old woman trying to be cute. I cannot believe that CBS was actually, perhaps still is, considering her to anchor the evening news.

I watch the CBS morning show - the least offensive of them all.
