TV Newser: Bill O'Reilly Visits Troops In Baghdad

Bill O'Reilly Visits Troops In Baghdad

"Camp Striker dining facility becomes 'No-Spin Zone'" is the headline of a news release from the Public Affairs Office of the Multi-National Corps - Iraq.

Yes, Bill O'Reilly is in Iraq, one week after his colleague Sean Hannity toured the country with Donald Rumsfeld.

Yesterday, "O'Reilly visited the Soldiers of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) and other units at the Baghdad base camp to thank them for their service."

"I came to see the Soldiers and say thanks to all the forces. That's our primary purpose over here," O'Reilly said. He autographed "Culture Warrior" hats and shirts and posed for photos with soldiers...

Related: On Thursday, John Kasich said O'Reilly would be back with a "major breaking news story" on Monday...

1. O really had to put up or shut up..
after Franken continually thrashed him for his "plastic" support. He's just now going over there, and the war started when?
I only wish that he could be locked out of the green zone where according to him everything's rosey. He could walk around and comment on some of the positive stories that the "liberal media" has ignored.

11. I think that GW, Laura, the twins, Cheney, Condi, Rummy all do a walking tour..
outside the Green Zone. Door to door. Saying Howdy and letting the people thank them for their newfound freedom. That seems to be the easiest way to prove that it's all the media's fault.

Of course then I woke up.

5. Haven't those people been through ENOUGH, already? Why force them to see O'Reilly without his
makeup?

No one should be put through that.

10. No. Another macho sofa warrior
along with Rush, Sean, Newt, Cheney, and just about any blowhard you hear ranting about "surrender monkeys" and "cut and run."
The people who served don't talk like these chickenhawks. They know better.
O'Reilly lives inside some old John Wayne movie. He has no clue about real combat, sacrifice, or death.
He's the ultimate poser. And as the mother of a Marine facing a third tour next month, guys like O'Reilly makes me physically ill.

16. Falafel
I cancelled my cable to save money, so I don't watch Mr. Falafel anymore.

However, I do watch Stewart/Colbert on the internets, which is good.

19. If he comes back without getting his teeth knocked out I'll be surprised...
...given his anti-social interpersonal skills and bullying mouth.
