|
http://www.channel3000.com/news/10556599/detail.htmlMy prayers are out to the families and to the remaining two climbers that they might be found alive and unharmed.

5. Uh no, I thought I'd posted this as a reply to another thread. |
|
Oh well, sorry to get your feathers in a ruffle about something so simple...

3. We all dupe sometimes... tonight though seems to be... |
|
a pretty snarky night for DU. Lots of folks seem on edge....
I too, am very sorry about the one climber...You're probably lucky you haven't seen some of the posts, though, AllyCat... Lots of "blaming the victim" stuff.

it wasn't a great idea to try and climb Mt. hood in the winter, this mountain has a bad reputation for many deaths in the past.

12. Of course you climb in the winter. |
|
And who wants to surf small waves?
Or drive slow cars?
Or ride plodding horses?
Or date docile women/men?
Give me some excitement.
Those guys died (and they are dead - count on it) doing what they loved.
I certainly hope that I have that pleasure.

14. Elvis died doing what he loved |
|
It doesn't make his death any more meaningful.

15. Elvis loved sitting on the toilet? |
|
I knew he was a weird mofo, but what is WEIRD.
And I didn't say anything about meaningful, I just want to go out while I am having a large time.

Did he have a personal satisfaction only derived from his bowel movements?

9. Can you imagine what it would be like if we gave Iraq War deaths the same kind of coverage? |
|
How long do you think this war would have lasted?

I know (from experience) that there wasn't much chance that they would be alive at this point, but one can always hope.
