Are people going crazy everywhere?

Here in KC, a man killed his wife and 4 kids and then himself yesterday morning.

Then today a man stabbed a 2 1/2 week old baby.

Is it because of the stress of the Christmas season? These are just such horrific incidents. And they were both in pretty much the same neighborhood.

There's probably a sad sack story attatched to each of these incidents. Cradel to grave socialism may be expensive but so are murder/suicides and prisons.

9. The people involved in both of these incidents were poor

The man who killed his family had 6 kids. It has to be hard to have 6 kids and be poor.

10. I have two

family members who are employed in human services. They are both dealing with a significant increase in crisis cases. There is always a rise in the holiday season, but this year seems more extreme than usual.
