Listen at: http://www.wrif.com/wriflive.pls or http://www.wrif.com/wriflive.asx

Juline Jordan has some great songs (samples) at her site http://www.julinejordan.com/music.html . Check out "Baghdad and Beyond" for a good start.

She and Peter were on IE America in those days.

1. Good show tonight. Nice to hear Juline again.
Last I heard, she was getting married in Florida, IIRC.

I still have a RealPlayer setting for ieamerica.

2. Although IE America eventually pulled the plug and never really gave
that network the kind of push it deserved (before its time?) they really deserve credit as the first progressive talk radio network (Pacifica was the first for indie news). See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I.E._America_Radio_Network for the now well known names they helped to build a national (and international) listener base.

3. The UAW was losing members ($$$) and gambled -- Believed it was not essential.
The UAW gambled and lost, IMHO. Coulda, shoulda, woulda made a difference in Ohio in '04. There WERE a lot of UAW families in that state.

Ieamarica had the right message. Werbe and Malloy back to back five days a week.

Pretty damn good!
