Global Warming...

While I don't mind it being almost 50 degrees on Feb 1, here in Chicago, 42 consecutive days above normal is kind of concerning.

1. Hell, we've only had about a week of winter this year. Fine by
me by I don't think that the plants and the animals are doing well. I saw geese flying overhead, four v-formations, last Friday.

6. I live out in the wilds of Mid Missouri, and I'm really worried
We've had only one week of single digit weather this year, way back at the first of December. If we don't get at least a week, preferably two, of sub zero weather, the bugs this year will be absolutely horrible. And this doesn't well for the summer months, another dry scorcher, just what we don't need.

7. The mountains in VA have been warm
A few of my bulbs have popped out, poor things are so confused, and I'm just hoping the trees don't begin to bud. It was 55 today, the past several weeks have shown temperatures up to 63. Totally uncanny for my neck of the woods. We usually have had several snows by this time and the two we did have were weak. The winds though have been incredible. For two days we were experiencing 50-60 mph winds. That's not much fun if you have a tin roof. I read an article the other day stating a place called Grandfather Mountain in North Carolina registered 200 mph winds. Totally freaky.

11. It will just come back to bite us when it's 110 in Chicago in May
and we will all need air conditioner and an ozone report to tell us what days we can go outside and for how long on that day. ::::sigh::::
