More great bumper stickers sighted in the French Quarter |
|
An honest one: FAILURE ACCOMPLISHED
A funny one: WHAT WOULD SCOOBY DO?
And one way over my head: HONK IF YOU LOVE DISEMBOWLED TENNESEANS
Had a nice time Saturday and we saw the most beautiful sight in the quarter about 4:00 - a traffic jam.

of course I realize that Iraq is just one failure of so many and I don't want to diminish the importance of NO, but the war is so preposterous knowing it was all based on lies for profit reasons.

directed at Iraq. Its great meandering in the quarter. There is so much anti-bush nonsense, its heartwarming.

I wonder what Owlins got against Tenneseans?
Isn't that where a whole bunch of FEMA trailers are rotting where they sit?

Football, football, football! In spite of the fact that LSU is in Baton Rouge, there are still plenty of its fans in N.O.
(If you don't want to look for the more likely explanation, then we could all speculate that the bumper sticker owner is a cat lover who thinks Tennesseean Frist should be dissected in retaliation for all the cats he murdered... Naw--it's about football!)

Meow! Speaking of cats....yesterday we went over to our friends house who live on a Christmas tree farm. The owner didn't want them anymore so he yanked them all up and heaped them in a pile as big as a small house except for a few Charlie Brown trees, one that we found. The little neighbor girl went with us only her little kitten jumped in the van while no one was looking and came along for the ride. Later on it was curled up fast asleep on the dashboard.

7. I was thinking it may have been |
|
a dig at "Honk if you love Jesus" bumper stickers. If one spends any time trying to think like a French Quarter denizen one might hurt themselves.

14. "I love Jesus... it's his fan club I don't like!" is more likely |
|
I was always a fan of French Quarter graffiti, too. Although even "A woman without a man is like a fish without a bicycle" finally got old after a while...

Maybe not the bumper sticker but definitely the buy the beer part. Repairing NOLA one beer at a time. The draft beer at the tropical Isle is always cold, the ambience garish, the good times always rolling.
Preferably an early day function!! I am an old fart who can't stay out too late.
