Thank you Taxpayers
I am a military retiree and you have graciously given us a 3.3% cost of living adjustment for 2007. It is greatly appreciated. I seldom involve myself in discussions about tax money expenditures because I know how fortunate I am to have you work hard for us every day. But, just think of the good we could do our fellow citizens if the chucklehead in the white house wasn't wasting at least a billion a week in Iraq.

A sincere Thank You and Happy New Year from the bottom of my salty heart.

2. For vets, anything!
Your raise should have been more-take the money from the earmarks and give it to people who really did something for their country!

3. 3.3%
jeez I only got 3% :sarcasm: I remember when my Dad got his COLAs he would take us all out to dinner. I will wait for your call. Oh, yeah, and thank you for your service to our country!

6. What saddens me
about our "payraise" is that it is about a half percent more then the kids on active duty are getting. That boggles my mind.

How bout a trip to Louisiana Pizza Kitchen in the French Market in New Orleans? An incredible little bistro with seating inside and out; and the most wonderful pizzas on the planet.

4. The most honorable person in the world has to be the 'lifers' as we lovingly call them
even when you didn't have to you did it anyway.

5. Thank you My Friend
It was the quickest and most satisfying 24 years of my life, even the two times I almost got killed.
