Democratic Consultant - Biden for President????!!!!
I nearly spit out my morning coffee when I came across this.

Until we purge our party of fine consultants like this, we are doomed

On MSNBC via TBogg:

The Case for Joe Biden
A long time political consultant argues that the senior senator from Delaware is the Democrat’s best shot

Jan. 31, 2006 - There are several ways we choose our presidents. During the primaries, we may vote for the person who looks as if he or she will perform best as a candidate—someone who “looks” presidential, who seems savvy with the media and who will represent our best interests. At the last moment, we might pick the candidate who seems to have the best head of steam—the person who could actually win. Others vote for the candidate they believe would make the best president, based on intellect, personal skills and public-service experience. Still others vote on single issues—abortion, taxes, defense, foreign policy, education, moral values, health or the environment. A final group casts its ballot for geographical reasons, the “home state” or regional candidate.

As the Democrats cast about for a candidate who can win in 2008, I want to make the case for Joe Biden. After 34 years in the Senate, Biden can appeal to voters on nearly all of the above criteria. He’s familiar to many voters—from his (admittedly verbose) questioning during the Alito hears to his passionate arguments in favor of U.S. intervention in the former Yugoslavia during the 1990s....

2. There was an article in the News Journal today where Biden
said that a Presidential bid was becoming more likely. I think he has just over $3mill in his campaign coffers.

8. As long as consultants like this call the shots, we are screwed...
It's time for the people to pick the candidate that best represents us!

9. OMFG what cave has this guy been living in
That fucker is in love with the sound of his own voice. His little ball cap stunt at the Scalito hearings made me puke. I've yet to see him put his ass on the line to back up any of the bullshit he constantly spouts.

However, just like Hillary, I'll hold my nose and vote for him if he somehow miraculously gains the nomination. We gotta be able to do better than BIDEN!!?!!?

10. Another overpaid Beltway consultant
Sounds like he needs to get away from the Georgetown townhouse cocktail parties and mingle a little more with the folks.

12. He would have an excellent chance of beating any repug. While he
pisses me off sometimes, he's seen by middle America as tough and passionate, a "real guy" who knows his shit when it comes to foreign policy and defense. People would not worry that he won't keep them safe.

McCain is the only repug that might be able to defeat Biden.
