CBC's "Little Mosque on the Prairie"

This is the title of a new upcoming sitcom aboutMuslims trying to interact with their neighbors in a small fictional Canadian town in Saskatchewan.
It is based on the life of the creator; Zarqa Nawaz who was born in England, grew up in Toronto and moved to Saskatchewan 10 years ago.
She is married with 4 sons, and is busy in Toronto with production right now. It will begin airing Jan 9th on CBC. It will be on Monday nites at 8:00 CT.
The show is based on the characters and situations that are endearing to her and that both sides can relate to in an honest and humorous way.
It's got a lot of buzz thru the media right now. CNN and NY TImes for example. The premise sounds promising. I hope it's as funny as they say.

comedy is a good way to show folks that "others" aren't really that much "other".
