...as the "most influential living Unitarian." The liberal-religious blogs held a friendly competition in which Keith Olbermann received the most votes, followed by cartoonist Matt Groenig and the World Wide Web's Timothy Berners-Lee. In his stubborn defense of non-authoritarian democracy, of freedoms of the body, mind and spirit, and of a kind of patriotism that only grows in freedom and unity (e pluribus unum) rather than uniformity, Keith is an excellent "prophet" of Unitarian Universalist principles and values. If only our nation's political leaders could understand that you just can't impose such democracy upon others...you can only advocate for it by good example. Thank you, Keith! In the past year, you've been a rare bright spot in an otherwise thoroughly wretched media landscape.
