2. They must really want Hillary to run. Hadn't McCain always beat Hillary?
No links to that, just an impression.

3. McCain's pro-Iraq war stance hurts him against Hillary but he leads Obama

5. iraq
If McCain keeps talking about more troops in Iraq in 2008, then he will def lose. look at the 2006 mid-terms, every American is fed up with Iraq and they voted against the incumbents/ republicans because of this, and in 2008, Americans will still be anti-Iraq war.

I really don't see McCain coming close to Clinton.

Unless a new issue arises, McCain will surely lose against Clinton and probably Edwards.

15. We'll see, I don't know how he will don but he should try.
At worst he will get experience in a national campaign and bring diversity io the choices we have, not just with regard to race, but also age and international experience (lived in Indonesia for a while as a child and interest in African issues as well as the usual European and Asia ones). I suspect he needs more experience in campaigning to win, but he can only get it by jumping in. I think he would lift the level of debate way way up. Wish he wouldn't smoke. Bad example for young people and unhealthy for him.

8. I am glad to see Hillary not getting thumped by McCain in a poll for once
but I'd chalk this up as an outlier for now.
