AP: Cindy Sheehan removed for "causing a disruption"!! |
|
Cindy Sheehan, the mother of a fallen soldier whose summertime vigil near Bush's Texas ranch reinvigorated the anti-war movement, was arrested and escorted from the visitors section of the House gallery after causing a disruption just before the president spoke. :eyes: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060201/ap_on_go_pr_wh/state_of_union;_ylt=AhCBbUxbyQw4gjVOFh983Sus0NUE;_ylu=X3oDMTA2Z2szazkxBHNlYwN0bQ--

8. I'm reading other posts where protesting=wearing t-shirt |
|
People saying "she knew she'd be busted for wearing that t-shirt"... "she was obviously protesting by wearing that t-shirt"...
All I can say is "wow"...
Have we descended that far into a police state that "of course you deserve to be arrested" for wearing a t-shirt inside the House?! I hear the subtle implication: "How 'disrespectful' to wear a tshirt that questions our govt, especially in the House!" Ah, the irony would be delicious if I didn't feel like I was about to vomit...
People, protesting is NOT wearing a t-shirt!
Are people that wear lapel pins with mini-US flags 'pro' US protestors??!!
Are the people that wear campaign buttons "Support the Troops" pro/anti/war protestors?!!
How about people that wear Che shirts? They must be obvious subversives...
Let's get this straight. This is all part of our new RE-EDUCATION... another psyops lesson to teach us: "See? She was arrested because she is a DISRUPTOR. She wore a DANGEROUS t-shirt. Make sure what you wear! Make sure what you say! NSA may be listening!"
JMJ, what the hell has happened to our country?!

I hadn't seen that one...
So much for freedom of speech... You've obviously heard about what happened to the lady posting signs for the World Can't Wait protests yesterday, right?
