"HAVE YOU PICKED OUT YOUR SON'S BURIAL PLOT YET?"
The Crack of Doom

"As expected, Bush repeatedly set up the coming invasion of Iran. "And we do not forget...Syria, Burma, Zimbabwe, North Korea and Iran because the demands of justice, and the peace of this world, require their freedom as well."
Bush did settle the question as to who gets to start the festivities in Iran when he claimed that "Iran...sponsors terrorists in the Palestinian territories and in Lebanon, and that must come to an end. The Iranian government is defying the world with its nuclear ambitions, and the nations of the world must not permit the Iranian regime to gain nuclear weapons." Did you just hear him invite Israel to bomb the hell out of Iran? I did. Guess who gets to go in afterward and do the dirty work? Right. Your kids and mine. Have you picked out your son's burial plot yet?"

Sorry, folks. I know some of you don't like www.whatreallyhappened.com. But that last comment has literally turned my blood to ice water.

I can't take this. I can't take the anxiety. When will they begin drafting people's sons? When will my sons get their draft notices? When will your sons get their draft notices? For that matter, when will your DAUGHTERS get their draft notices??

I swear to God, if I and my children get out of this alive--or if not all of us get out of this alive--I will never, never, EVER forgive the republican party for inflicting this on us. Never. I am now at the point where I am thinking of all sorts of ways to get relief from this anxiety--ways that I can't use because I'd be struck down and killed if I used them. But all I know is I will NEVER forgive the republican party. Not. Ever.

Sorry about the panic and craziness.

5. I had to laugh at Monkey's SOTU list--he was talking about countries
that have no democracy, of course, he sorta forgot CHINA (could their servicing of our debt have accounted for that lapse???)...and we're heading down that same path, the way things are going....

7. Yeah
Whatever Atlas of Evil-Doer Nations the Dictator-Tot uses, it's obviously missing a few countries.

10. And yet.....
...no mention of China. China with its policy of forced abortions, no democratic process, the imprisonment of dissenters and the execution of "malcontents" who would change the way of life of the Chinese people.

But, I guess when it's your trade partner that's okay?

4. I've been puzzled
over why the draft hasn't already begun....I expected that Bush would do it as soon as he was re(s)elected...but now I'm thinking maybe he'll wait until after the '06 elections to consolidate complete Republican control....

or.....

another possibility....

maybe he's working toward a defacto draft ....

What if the American economy is sooooo bad that the all the manufacturing, data processing, information jobs have been exported and the really low-wage, unskilled jobs are taken over by "guest workers? What jobs are left? The military...bingo...draft by elimination of choices, or, defacto draft

11. It has
While the actual drafting of American males hasn't started, the apparatus to conduct the draft is already in place. At this point should the draft be re-instituted, it will only take 75 days before the first notices go out.
