DJ on Tulsa radio station this morning:
"In today's headlines...this can't be right. Is this right? We have a war in the Middle East that's cost us thousands of soldier's lives, homeless people living on our streets, millions who can't afford to see a doctor...and this is what they give us for headlines?

Folks, you aren't going to believe this but in spite of all the trouble in the world, the big news this morning is that the White House has a new pastry chef! You heard me right, that's a headline. When you start thinking about all the things that are wrong in the world today, and wonder why all of it is happening, perhaps it's because the AP and all the news feeds consider a new pastry chef in the White House more important than the death of a soldier. Unbelievable."

You could tell the guy was truly disgusted.

1. How sad and true
You can't spell CRAP without AP.
Many news editors are left with nothing to choose from because the AP news budget is so fucking lame every day. There is more news by far on the Internet and all its manifestations.
Then there are other editors for whom "press release journalism" is SOP.
There are so many brainless asshats in media that counting them would take a hundred years.

2. Glad the DJ would tell it like it is
Any comments from Tulsa citizens about it? I'd say that if there were many who agreed with him, Bush is in deep doo doo.

7. Hey maybe if President Bush eats a lot of pastries
he'll get sleepy and drowsey and won't do so much stupid stuff.
