the Jan. swearing in and congratulation parties for Pelosi

this morning I read an article telling of all the parties and events coming up in Jan. for Pelosi. I had it bookmarked but that bookmark now comes up with something else.? and I've gone back and search everywhere I read this morning, no luck in finding the article.

anyway there is all kinds of hoopla going on in S.F., Balt. and D.C. for Pelosi.

so long as the murderous, criminal neo cons are still in the White House and govt. and so long as we are killing and being killed in Iraq and Afghanistan and so long as our US treasury is being robbed by the neo cons. . .

who wants to celebrate?

sure as a feminist I'm glad a woman will be speaker.

I'll celebrate when the W.H. is empty of criminals

and american is paying attention to the CLANGING environmental climate change ALARMS THAT ARE SO LOUD THEY CAN BE HEARD IN THE NEXT GALAXY.

1. A woman

is ascending to the highest political office in American history.

It's worth noting.

Edit:

The idea that any pleasure in life should be foregone while bad things are happening is nonsense.

Have you given up sex, good food and all entertainment because US troops are in harm's way?

9. If you want to
Again, life's pleasures don't go away while bad things happen.

how you can surf the internet while orphans die in Africa? Did you have breakfast today? How DARE you while women are oppressed in Afghanistan? Did you jerk-off this week? That is SO insensitive to the plight of the imprisoned in Myanmar.

5. I agree that this is no time for a four day celebration of events for Pelosi.
I have posted my opinion on this perhaps a week ago. She is going over board. Simple is always better. I don't remember that other speakers have staged anything like it.

6. And there have not been
parties for the president and the governors and all the other people elected to office. Why should Pelosi forgo a celebration for a very important event. Not only for her but for the democrats and all the women in this country. I will bet 1000% to one that bush and his henchmen had more Christmas parties than 1/10 of the ones given for Pelosi.
