Gag me: Guess who's signed on with McCain?
That old war criminal Kissinger is going to be an Honorary Chairman of
McCain's campaign. From Hotmail.

Ex-Sec/State Henry Kissinger has agreed to become an honorary co-chair for Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign in New York, McCain aides said. Along with Kissinger, McCain has won the support of Pete Peterson, a former U.S. ambassador to Vietnam and POW, and John Whitehead, the former Goldman Sachs chair and Reagan admin official.

1. There's the establishment candidate. Surprised at Pete Petersen, though.

I guess the POW kinship is trumping his better sense.

3. With overlapping campaigns, it's going to be hard to keep
the wool pulled over people's eyes on political dog and pony stunts like this. "Honorary" Chairman. Whoop-dee-doo!!!

7. I'm sort of glad to see this. It strikes me as a misstep, maybe I'm wrong
but I haven't heard any love for Kissenger coming from the right lately. Maybe I just haven't heard it. Let McCain keep digging, he's just getting deeper and deeper. Kissenger immediately brings to mind the debacle of VietNam, a misstep of major proportions in my mind.

5. You say "war criminal" like it's a bad thing.

It is somewhat a badge of honor for the rightest of the right.

Possible campaign slogan:

"Killing hundreds of thousands of innocent citizens in the name of democracy is no vice!"

6. Let's hope your last statement is true.
Then a proven nut like Romney or Brownback emerges as the candidate and people automatically vote Democrat.
