Tobacco, Marijuana, addiction, huge profits & the law.
What a crazy world huh? Marijuana was once considered as bad as heroin, and cigarettes were once considered good for you. Marijuana may just be America's number one cash crop whereas tobacco used to be one of the top ones. More and more people are smoking marijuana and the law is cracking down on cigarette smoking more every day until it may be a banned or outlawed substance, like marijuana is now.

Who makes all the profits from marijuana? Nasty criminals, smugglers, gangsters, growers and distributers, also the profits generated by the legal system busting and imprisoning all these offenders. And we also pay billions in tax dollars in ad campaigns telling us how bad both of these plants are to us.

Who makes all the profits from tobacco? Our government, farmers, distributors, giant corporations, they take our tax money by the billions to give us cigarettes which they constantly tell us are bad for us, and billions are spent to care for all those who suffer the ill effects of tobacco.

One weed is subsidized by the government, the other is warred against, one is taxed, the other is banned, one is quality controlled, the other is not. Weed smokers and cig smokers both look down on each other, one group whines about having no rights, the other group fills our prisons. You can't light either up in a restaurant after a good meal, and you can't smoke either in a bar.

America is just really schizophrenic about it's smoking habits, and our two favorite smokes may both soon be illegal, or a reversal of the way it is now, once unimaginable, illegal cigarettes and legal weed.

I say let people smoke what they want, in designated places, stop arresting people for enjoying their favorite smoke, and stop letting gangsters and smugglers handle the marijuana, let our farmers and corporations do it. Let's grow a brain when it comes to smoking tobacco and marijuana, we should all grow our own and keep all these profiteers out of it.

Smoking anything is not good for you, but let's get real someday about it.

1. America doesn't handle vices very well.
I would say, as a patient, America is in dire need of a reality checkup. This PC stuff will be the death of us all.
