I couldn't believe my ears when I heard Tweety just now.
He was doing a story about the Worcester Wreath Company in Harrington, Maine. That is the small company that has been donating wreaths each Christmas at Arlington. Because of all the publicity via the internet, this year there were so many volunteers that it only took 45 minutes to lay the wreaths at the tombstones. At the end of the story he called those who got us into this war Cretins. Does this mean that Tweety no longer is a bush lover? I'm loving it!

1. Tweety at long last has seen the light. Katrina did it for him and a
lot of them.

8. tweety was always opposed to the war, well before we invaded
he also has a hard on for bush and sees him as a manly man. but i do think it is important to remember that tweety was never for the war. the only reporter (ya right, reporter?) that i am aware of

5. I thought the Birdman was always kinda antiwar.
But I'm the last person you should listen to about stuff like that--what would I know? I really don't watch TV & probly wouldn't recognize him.

9. Public opinion and the elections did it for alot of them.
In a way, I'm glad that some of these obnoxious right-wing zealots are changing their minds about the war, but I also think they're partially responsible for all the carnage so far. Now that they're seeing their ratings fall, they can't change their minds fast enough. Assholes.

12. A lot of the peeps in the media were very Rah-Rah about the war
in the build up to it, and after it started as well. :grr:

I have long opined that Tweety and his ilk were among those who crucially stifled legitimate questioning about the War. In between one Administration apologist after another he would occasionally question the logic of the process of the War Machine but quickly shout down any individual who had the temerity to do the same. He is a weather vane and a complete fraud...and a royal pain in the ass.

Do not be fooled by his 'even-handedness'.

16. He's a creepy pseudo-everything and a fat f--k.
Even his procalmations that he's a Philly boy and worked for Tip O'Neill although true, are real bullshit, since he's no Philadelphian in any sense - trust me, I live here, and he was Tip's gofer.

Screw him. I'm sorry that he has diabetes from a humanistic point of view, but perhaps if he stops eating s--t from these lying bastards in this Administration, his blood sugar would improve.

19. I may be mistaken, but I specifically...
...remember him closing out a show back in March of '03 saying this would be the biggest mistake we ever made. Short, pointed, and somewhat Olbermann-like, at least in relation to the prevailing mood.

23. you are not mistaken...
but before you get excited, please allow me to say that his interviews of those who favored the war were much kinder than his interviews of those who were 'obstructionist peace activists' and other miscreants. He had it both ways, believe me and it was calculated for self-aggrandizement. This guy knows exactly how video works.

13. F him, and a merry christmas to all.
he and all his kind should be subjected to a public headshaving, just as the French collaborators were, but Tweety, Cokie, etal are MUCH more culpable than their WWII counterparts

it was, largely, a matter of survival in Vichy France, (with obvious exceptions)

these asskissing turncoats knew EXACTLY what the real deal was. they made their choices, and are only following the herd once again, as it becomes painfully obvious to all but the most venal, that we've sown the seeds of our own destruction with this criminal folly, and THEY, more than even the PNACers and their minions, are responsible for what waits for the world

it's only going to get worse

Merry Christmas

G. Gordon Liddy about the "mission accomplished" orgy on the aircraft carrier.

Or I should say, that he can't whore for Bush anymore without exposing himself as an utter shill.

His only use is that he reflects the inside-the-Beltway, inside-the-media attitude. That's it.

21. You would have to be heavily invested in the Republican Party
to not 'see' the PNAC failure and the pathetic media partnership. I think many are morphing to Olberman wannabe's. Or they are too stupid to do anything but follow the direction of their bosses who may be telling them to be more Olberman like.

But, I agree with the person who said 'cretin' might be his way of referring to (Usama bin Laden or the high-jackers').
