Cheney is going to testify as a defense witness in Fitzgerald's case against I "Scooter" Libby in the CIA leak case. That ought to be interesting. Wonder if he'll shoot any lawyers while he's there.

Speaking of the bionic Veep - what's up with the dead deer on the lawn of his Naval Observatory residence in DC? Did he violate DC hunting laws and shoot it himself? Strangle it? Mor importantly, why has it been left to rot and decompose for days? Is he observing some strange ancient holiday ritual? Perhaps it is the Cheney's idea of a festive Christmas decoration.

When asked about the decaying beast at today's White House briefing, Tony Snow first declined to comment, then denied rumors that Cheney slaughtered the animal, insisting that the deer was simply resting, or maybe pining for the fjords.

but Republicans actually did the right thing in my opinion, and so should our party!!! Impeachment hearings rarely result in the removal of the President, but they do give those in the executive branch a needed slap in the face while forcing creeps like Nixon to resign. But Democratic leaders don't even want to hold hearings or question those who spend our tax dollars!? A little back story first, the former CEO of the company for which Mr. smokey works resigned suddenly about two years ago because law enforcement was about to seize his company provided computer. It was alleged that Mr. CEO was downloading kiddie-porn. After proclaiming his innocence, Mr. CEO plead guilty to obstruction of justice for using software to destroy the evidence on said computer. Mr. smokey just gave me a photocopy of an article about the case. It appears that Mr. CEO is appealing to the court for leniency in his sentencing because he was driven to pornography on account of personal problems he was having and because (and I'm quoting from the article)"The life of a CEO is in many respects a very lonely life." Let's all break out our tiny violins for Mr. CEO.
