2. What was he doing?
Easy one, he was sitting on the wrong side of Congress. He should have been sitting with his buddies. Did you notice there were numerous times when he was the only one standing and applauding?

Who knows? They may have saved Gore's life.

17. Joementum as Veep makes me question Gore's judgment
I'm sure it seemed like a good idea in 2000 and everything... but seriously, couldn't he have found some derelict in a back alley finishing off a pint of cheap gin to be his running mate instead - at least the derelict has some "real world experience" he can point to.

15. Department of Defense, was the rumor
It was that week or so when a few Republicans were actually calling for Rummy to resign.

Then another distraction happened. There've been so many scandals and outrages I forget which one.

The corporatists want nothing more than to change the democratic party into a subservient branch of the repuglican party. :puke:

Extra ass-kissing is needed in that position.

Or he could be delirious since Ned Lamont is receiving a lot of buzz.

I just received a correspondence letter from him; maybe I should post it...?

18. Joe actually has a challenger in 2006
He doesn't want to end up on the wrong end of the GOP smear machine during a tough race. This ass-kissing will help ensure that BushCo will lay off, and perhaps even bring in the black boxes to help should his re-election look doubtful.
