1. I do not think that Hinn is a nut. |
|
The dumb people who believe in him are the nuts. It's frightening that there are so many of them.

but that song put to that video is definitely funny as hell, almost as funny as those folks are frightening.

4. IMO, it looks like he is beating the shit out of them. |
|
Some of the parishoners also look like they are having epileptic fits and how in the world does one man make the entire temple fall to the floor.
I think if I was there, I would be the only one standing, and probably cracking up.

I had occasion to see Hinn live and in person. Long story how that came about. He did this thing where he would address a section of the audience and breathe into the microphone and many folks in that section of the colliseum would fall. I was perched in the upper reaches of the farthest seating area so I was able to look down on what was occuring and have a panoramic view. I was there with a friend. We laughed. A lot. My ribs were quite sore the following day. It was a memorable and entertaining experience to say the least. Still, it was not an experience I would care to repeat. Ever.
Hinn has been criticized for teaching false Christian doctrine. Nonetheless, he has folks that literally follow him from one venue to another. Groupies of a sort. Many of them seem to be folks who are truly desperate - often for some sort of physical healing. He comes to the Mabee Center at ORU in Tulsa with some frequency. When he does it is not at all uncommon for there to be long lines of folks awaiting admission hours before the doors open.
From what I have observed it is all about desire and the power of suggestion.
