The Rascals Are Still In Charge (Paul Campos)
While he's still in denial, George W Bush is guilty of starting an unnecessary, illegal and immoral war.

Who else should own up to being part of (if they were men) or be brought to justice for committing this treason that has killed so many people and endangered America?

EXCERPT...

Voltaire's epigram ("It is considered a good thing to kill an admiral from time to time, to encourage the others.") crossed my mind when I heard neo-conservative military strategist Frederick Kagan holding forth on National Public Radio, regarding his plan to send a "surge" of new combat troops to Iraq. The word in Washington is that Kagan's plan is much to President Bush's liking, and that the president is inclined to put it into action next month.

Voltaire noted that in 18th century England mistakes made in the heat of battle could result in the most savage punishment. In America today, we are beset by the opposite problem: an incompetence so grotesque that it is as a practical matter difficult to distinguish from treason and in fact only increases the power and prestige of those who are guilty of it.

And while I wouldn't go so far as to recommend the occasional execution of a neo-conservative strategist, it's worth noting that the chief architects of the Iraq war have suffered no punishment whatsoever for plunging the nation into the biggest foreign policy disaster in our history.

SNIP...

Of all the tragic aspects of this national disaster this is worst: The people who have been catastrophically wrong about everything are still in charge. And a year from now, when things are even worse in Iraq, we can be sure the neo-conservatives will still be demanding that yet more American soldiers die so that Kagan and his ilk can continue to live out their increasingly destructive geopolitical fantasies.

1. These criminals have been carried over from decades ago
Yes, these men and women were mentored by some of the worst-for example former head of the Iraq Coalition Provisional Authority, L. Paul Bremer, was Henry Kissinger's Chief of Staff--Henry Kissinger is still there in the shadows instead of being locked up, a Paperclip Nazi enabler and much worse, Kissinger was the first choice of the Decider to head the 9/11 Commission.

Here's an archived DU article by Barbara O'Brien about one of the worst scumbags of all Nobel Prize winner Henry Kissinger

"Everything You Wanted to Know About Henry Kissinger"
http://www.democraticunderground.com/articles/02/12/04_henry.html

Seymour Hersh has taken note of all these criminals for decades, here's his take on things from a month ago

"The Next Act"
http://www.newyorker.com/printables/fact/061127fa_fact

The House of Saud and the Bushies connection has long been concealed by James A. Baker III who's ISG was merely a lot of deception for the latest BFEE SecDef Gates-the Saudis have been in the news lately over in the UK, again-and again in the context of a BAE "deal"

"Saudi inquiry decision faces legal challenge" (Guardian)
http://www.guardian.co.uk/armstrade/story/0,,1973356,00.html

of course BFEE poodle war criminal and profiteer UK PM Tony Blair is facing other things too, like the Downing Street "memo" (which is treated as a so-called "conspiracy theory" here-by the real criminal BFEE conspiracy and their assets)
http://www.afterdowningstreet.org/?q=node/1

and that takes us back to the days of Reagan/Bush/Thatcher-when the BFEE were arming both Iraq and Iran, conducting "dirty wars" with people like Negroponte, when North and Poindexter and others from the Iran/Contras (that are still very influential in the present world crisis) were engaging the House of Saud and the deals with "defense" companies like BAE partly went to finance people like Osama bin Laden and the Taliban (I know you know this stuff Octafish-but there's a lot of folks that don't) here's a bit more about these murdering traitorous shitbags and their pals in the House of Saud
"Soiled Dove II" from Cryptome
http://cryptome.org/soil/soiled-dove2.htm

and right after the midterms and one day after the "resignation" of the BFEE war criminal and traitorous profiteer Rumsfeld some of us discussed the now confirmed "new, fresh eyes" BFEE SecDef Gates and others

"Gates is Poppy's guy...datadump"

Yep, it's the SAME PEOPLE and the SAME ORGANIZATIONS-the Bush Family Evil Empire, and it has tentacles across the aisles, isles, and oceans...

6. With so much documnetation of their crimes
how is it that these people never face charges and continue to return over and over again to "government service"? Is their hold so tight that they can go unchallenged no matter how dastardly their deeds? It would take years to bring all these sumbags to justice for the multitude of crimes they have committed over the past decades!

7. Hold Those Responsible for Iraq Accountable (Olson)
When it comes to Bush and his cronies, it's like working in a sewer. Except it's worse. It's like hell, in fact.

Hold Those Responsible for Iraq Accountable

by Gary Olson
Published on Tuesday, December 19, 2006 by The Morning Call (Allentown, Pennsylvania)

I've been struggling to write something new about the war in Iraq but failed to find any appropriate words. Despite everything we now know about the war, the U.S. occupation continues. While policymakers procrastinate and parse the finer points of withdrawing all U.S. troops, more flag-covered coffins relentlessly emerge from the bowels of giant wing-tipped hearses in Dover, Del.

Perhaps simply reiterating the continuing human cost remains the single best hope for ending our grotesque national nightmare. I scan the stark daily death lists and pause to wonder about the now forever unrealized dreams, experiences, loves and loved ones behind the abbreviated personal data.

As I write this, the Department of Defense has identifed 2,928 American service members who have died since the start of the Iraq war. The following deaths were confirmed for the last week:

Beerler, Brent E., 22, Lance Cpl., Marines; Jackson, Mich.

Castro, Jesse J.J., 22, Sgt., Army; Chalan Pago, Guam.

Ciraso, Kristofer R., 26, Staff Sgt., Army; Bangor, Me.

Cote, Budd M., 21, Lance Cpl., Marines; Marana, Ariz.

Davis, Gloria D, 47, Maj., Army; St. Louis.

Dillon, Matthew V., 25, Cpl. Marines, Aiken, S.C.

Dunkelberger, Brent W., 29, Sgt., Army; New Bloomfield, Pa.

Farris, Billy B., 20, Cpl. Army; Bapchule, Ariz.

Ford, Philip C., 21, Specialist, Army; Freeport, Tex.

Gathereaux, Jay R., 26, Specialist, Army; Thibodaux, La.

Huffman, Jason I., 23, Cpl. Army; Conover, N.C.

Krege, Travis C., 24, Pfc. Army; Cheektowaga, N.Y.

Libby, Dustin J., 22, Cpl., Marines; Presque Isle, Me.

Linck, Henry W., 23, Staff Sgt. Army; Manhattan, Kan.

Love, Robert L., Jr., 28, Staff Sgt. Army; Meridian, Miss.

Madden, Joshua B.,21, Specialist, Army, Sibley, La.

Bush and his circle are evil. Those who don't know this need to learn. Those who know it and still support him should be held accountable for what they are, accessories to mass murder, warmongers and traitors.

Researching, chronicling and reporting what they have done sickens me. Worse would my illness be were I to ignore what I know. Worst of all would be knowing and not doing something about Them. And that is why they work in secrecy. Their abominations can't stand the light of day or Truth.

Thank you for your kind words, catzies. Your Friendship means the world to me.

4. So the Decider was on television earlier today and Gates is in Baghdad
Gen. Abizaid calls it quits, there are reports and rumors and a ton of disinformation and wide scale PSY-OPS and it's still these SAME PEOPLE and SAME ORGANIZATIONS gearing up for more evil unless they are STOPPED, not by waiting for the new Congress, not by the JCS, not by international condemnation, but by US, the people doing whatever we must and whatever we can.

Going shopping like the Decider said? Or doing something else today?

8. Worked like a charm.
Certain Senators better hope everybody forgets how they fell over themselves welcoming Gates and his, er, testimony at his confirmation hearings.

Transcript: Confirmation Hearing of Robert Gates to Be Secretary of Defense

Don't have the heart to cut and paste the relevant portions, including those by several of my favorite politicians.

What they see in Gates is beyond me.

Me? I worked like a dog today. Again. I'll do most of my shopping Saturday. The joy.

Those Senators remind me of the joy of shopping as per what the Decider stated.

I hear Pharisees are on sale this week!
