Hey Mr. Dumbfuck President!
What the fuck do you think you're doing? Your generals are telling you that simply sending more troops to Iraq isn't the answer. The Iraq Study Group recommends disengaging. Why are you so goddamned hellbent on breaking the back of the military? We're already strained as it is, with many units now having served multiple terms in Iraq and Afghanistan! This has gone on LONGER than our involvement in WWII. At the same time, you're preparing for yet another war with Iran, building up your naval armada in the Persian Gulf.

Are you out of your fucking mind? Are you determined to do as much damage as you can before you leave office? Where are all these extra troops going to come from? Are you going to sign your precious daughters up for Iraq? Of course not, you're going to pull in more cannon fodder from the poor and working class, those who can't afford to send themselves to college. You're going to lure them with all sorts of incentives, promise them a high-tech military career, tell them that they can learn how to fly helicopters or fix computers - then you're going to shove an M-16 in their hands and kick their ass out into the desert.

Enough is enough, you fucking liar. I sincerely hope that the Democrats in Congress grow a pair of gonads and clamp the brakes on your ass.

2. Tony Snow's Howler for the Day
Along the same lines as your "spirited" post, did you catch Tony Snow's soundbite for today? I caught him saying, "The President is not having any disagreement with the Joint Chiefs. He respects the chain of command deeply."

Duh. He's at the top of the chain of command.

Maybe Georgie said that right after he said (the other day), "I've spoken to the families who died."

What a bunch of clowns.

7. "He's at the top of the chain of command." Hence, his respect for said chain.

3. they also said that sending more troops would help
(if enough and with enough support and with a clear plan with measurable goals and a concise timeline and....)(maybe)

5. maybe
But this assclown doesn't even have a friggin plan. We could send 500,000 troops into Baghdad itself and not succeed. Right now, the only thing that sending more troops does is increase the potential body count. Adding more troops to Iraq is only going to strengthen their resolve to drive us out.

Honestly, though, I really don't see how sending more troops could really help. There's nothing wrong with admitting we were wrong and withdrawing, and trying to salvage whatever shred of credibility we might have left on the international front.

6. Don't forget, Bush lives in Opposite Land.
He is more and more disconnected from reality every day. The Joint Chiefs of Staff AND the majority of the American people are saying NO to more troops, so what does Bush do? Says he want sto send more troops in. If it were for the fact that thousands of people are being killed and maimed in this senseless war, I could roll my eyes at Bush. But bloodshed is no laughing matter. I just wish the Asshat in Chief would get that through if fucking skull.

12. The robber baron regime realizes the looting will slow way down
when they no longer have total control of the govt. They especially want he Iraq war to go on as long as possible to keep Iraqi oil from reaching markets. The corporate cabal will steal as much and as fast as they can at this point. Increasing troops in Iraq is giving them some reach into the next administration, making it harder to wind up the war.

15. Yes he's out of his mind. And, he's sending more troops for political reasons.
He wants to tamp down the "insurgency" so things can look good before he exits the OO. It isn't going to work, but that's the plan. It's about his "legacy" and "blaming the Democrats" when we do finally pull the troops out.

16. Can you say "intervention"?
Time to bring in the big boys--the ones in tailored, dark suits. They
all need to surround him, grab him by the shirt collar and tell him that
the jig is up.

Junior doesn't realize that the ship has hit the iceberg and that it's taking
on gallons by the second.

While this nation is sinking--he's wanting to bring in more sailors with
paddles and chat up some solutions during committee meetings.

Someone needs to tell Captain Bumblefuck that water up to your chin
means that it's time to abandon ship.
