Cheney is being called as a defense witness. Seems like if there was any dirt to stick to him, the prosecutors would be calling him as a co-conspirator.

I'm sure the defense is going to try to claim it was all Cheney's idea, but the fact that they're the ones making the accusation makes it that much more unlikely to lead to any legal action against him.
