Did he say anything about those who can't afford...
to feed themselves or their families?

Did he encourage charity for the unfortunate?

What should we do with those people mr. pretzledent? Serve them up for dinner? Let them rot in the streets?

Next Five Weeks Critical For Bush
The US News Political Bulletin has learned senior Republicans are looking at the next five weeks with a mix of trepidation and anticipation. "The next five weeks are make it or break it for this presidency," says a key Republican who informally advises the White House. In early January, the Democrats will take over Congress and signal how aggressively they will confront the Administration on Iraq and a wide range of domestic issues, and how vigorously they will investigate the Administration over its policies and perceived errors over the past six years.

In early to mid-January, President Bush plans to give a high-stakes speech setting forth "the way forward" in Iraq. Bush will then give his State of the Union address on January 23. "Anything the President wants to do in the last two years of his term will be contingent on the reaction to his new course in Iraq," the senior GOP adviser tells the Political Bulletin. "If he bombs when he gives the Iraq speech, the fat lady sings. If he's not realistic and doesn't engender support, which is a tall order, people will begin to turn him off on all subjects."
