Update on the "War on Christmas." Not much time left. |
|
Edited on Wed Dec-20-06 01:55 PM by Cyrano
We here at "War on Christmas" headquarters know that many DUers have decided not to participate in this battle. And yes, we know how hard it is to believe that there are people who actually believe that a "War against Christmas" really exists.
Yet, as this year's "war" approaches its end, we thought we might give you some reasons why we are taking our time to participate.
Reason #1: Bill O'Reilly and others have used this "War on Christmas" crap as a weapon to convince fools, or very naive people, that a "War on Christmas" actually exists.
Reason #2: Any living being who would actually direct his or her energies to join something labeled a "War on Christmas," needs to be listed among the greatest fools that ever existed on this planet.
Reason #3: Bill O'Reilly, and those of his ilk, are among the most extreme screaming assholes and reckless hate mongers imaginable.
So before next year rolls around and we get another "War on Christmas" replay, how about we make it apparent to everyone we know that O'Reilly and those like him are doing nothing more than selling snake oil to those ignorant enough to buy it.
Meanwhile, we have to start ramping up our "War against Easter."

1. When "christians" aren't hating in the name of Jesus Christ |
|
they are making shit up so they can tell each other they are martyrs being persecuted. However, they take every advantage and then some of their constitutional liberties, while working overtime to take such liberties away from fellow citizens they hate and continuing with their multi-tasking they strive to replace the constitution with the bible. They are enemies of the constitution. There is no war on Christmas, just an internal war on sanity in the minds of those who believe shit and know very little. O'lielly knows where his paycheck comes from.

3. Agreed. You haven't lived if you've never tried bunny scampi. |
|
On the other hand, reindeer parmigiana is excellent with the right amount of paprika.

4. Can't we just call in air strikes and declare "Mission Accomplished(tm)"? |

Can't we just call in air strikes and declare "Mission Accomplished(tm)"?
Why can't we win, once and for all, this War on Christmas?

5. I guess we could, but we'd have to learn how to land a jet on a carrier. |
|
Then again, I suppose we could just get someone else to do it, stuff a dish towel into our crotches and swagger out onto deck. (It's not that hard if you have Karl Rove's instructions written on the palm of your hand so that you didn't make any mistakes.)

My wife has now officially been out of work for over a year. She has 17 years experience as a cost accountant and can't find work.

8. auburngrad82, if I had the power, I would see that no one else in the |

world ever again suffered from the disaster that Bush & Co. have brought to far too many of us. And please, don't think these are empty words. If I could wave a magic wand, or if I had just one wish, it would be to cure all human misery.
Bill Clinton often said, "I feel your pain." He was a good politician, and maybe he really did "feel our pain." But, at the risk of sounding like some phony son-of-a-bitch, I really do hear and ache for you, your wife and family, and what are going through.
It seems that every day of my life, I get more cynical about what our country is really about. I grew up in an era when the government helped those who needed help. And it seems that we now have a government which tells us all to "take care of yourself or die."
This seems to be a purely Republican world view, but let's see what happens when the Dems finally take over. I, for one, am not holding my breath for "great" things.
Unfortunately, none of these words help you or your wife.
Damn it to hell. There's never a magic wand around when you need one.
