Now there's a bet I'd take in a heartbeat.

This "surge" talk is laughable. Pure unadulterated propaganda carefully crafted to bemuse the boobs. Any extra troops put into Baghdad by this administration may certainly surge on in, but once there they will be left to rot.

Did you know that one of the ways our brilliant leader aims to accomplish this "surge" is to merely deny the troops already there the ticket back home they were promised when they were first sent there? Their replacements might arrive, but they don't get to leave. Surge!

The real word for this process is escalation. "Surge" is just to make the citizenry believe that the escalation is temporary.
